Once in a while I take a peek at the network news or the communist news network just to see what the far left is up to. A couple of days ago some tapes were made public that showed the Columbine killers target practicing in the woods a few weeks prior to the infamous Columbine massacre. The next anti-gun blurb displayed a map on the screen that illustrated the states (nearly all 50) that allow for the purchase of firearms at gun shows without a background check, the so-called "gun show loophole."

Way to go Peter Jennings! This "creative journalism" goes way beyond mere fabrication, and Peter Jennings and the rest of his left-wing cronies should be ashamed of themselves. My suspicion is that they are unashamed, since lying and liberalism go hand in hand. Most of us would feel rather uncomfortable telling such a gargantuan lie, but the left wing's champions of journalism can lie without batting an eyelash, and then sleep soundly at night.

I make it a point to watch (usually) ABC News (sometimes NBC) on the weekdays after work to see what the leftward bent skew is in the day's news to the general public. It's always good to know what the opposition is thinking and saying.

I also saw his bit on the video. at the end he made it a point that they were also shooting 'assualt rifles' and mentioned that the AWB was expiring soon. IIRC, I think he also implied the Tech was also an 'assault rifle' by saying it in plural (only one military pattern rifle was displayed).

I generally try to watch one of the network news shows each evening, mostly ABC. For some reason, I barely make it past the 15 minute mark before turning it off.

It is interesting that each network tends to have the exact same topics and the stories are almost word-for-word identical.

Back during the first days of the Iraq invasion, I mostly watched FOX and flipped over to CNN and the broadcast channels to see what they were reporting. At times, it was hard to believe FOX and CNN/ABC/CBS/NBC/MSNBC were reporting on the same war.

Exactly.

Knowing that the general public does not know this, they will think AWB should continue. IMO, I don't even think the general public knows that there IS an AWB in effect right now and so they will think there should be one in place particularly from what the likes of Jennings show on their broadcast as the deadline nears.
