Gordon's wonderful engraved 1917 Colt made me kick myself for the time I passed up a full coverage Colt Govt Model. :banghead: I was out at my local gunseller and saw the following in the display case. What can I say? It, of course followed me home!

I have to admit, I am NOT a fan of engraved guns.
I like the beauty of my guns to come from their stark, efficient lines and deep bluing.

I do like engraved guns when done well. It really says "class". :D Really love those Renaissance Hi-Powers!!! Unfortunately I'm not a high enough roller to own one.
I have to admit, the gold on blueing does not look good IMO.

Thanks, fellas! The stocks are some kinda burl wood that looks like agate. There are literally hundreds of little swirls in them. If I could post a high resolution pic you would be drooling, I tell ya.
