On Wednesday I got a call from my local dealer about it raining Benelli parts and guns. What a pick me up when on a field trip in the rain with 40 6th graders:D I had asked for a price quote for a Benelli Nova H20 and instead he got one in for me. Picked it up today for $439.00. Looks just like the regular Nova, only in stainless. I was supprised to see stainless steel on the safety, action release lever, action bars, magazine stop button, trigger assembly pins

In the catalog this version is listed with comming with interchangable chokes, mine came with an 18.5" Cylinder Choke, fixed. Bummed about that a bit, but life goes on.

Added the 2 shot extension and it holds 7+1 with the extension about 3/8" short of the barrel. I intend to make them my HD shotgun. I have ordered the M3 mount for the Nova also. I do like the stainless sights on the rifle, in a little bit of trying it out in the dark, they were easier to pick out than those on my M1 in low light.

I plan to pattern it on Monday with some Federal Tactical 000 Buck and with slugs later inthe week. Basic testing of it will be on Sunday at Wobble Trap with some 7.5 or 8.

Time to start praying for a Surefire forend for it, but I have a feeling it wont happen due to the magazine stop button :barf:

Sorry for the size of the photo, but wanted to show you a close view.

Nice. Bummer about no chokes. Let us know how it shoots for you.

that looks like the first generation rifled slug barrel that they never shipped,
because they moved the HD rear sight to the reciever and sold a whole gun instead of an upgrade

maybe they kept the sights and mounted them on a smooth bore

i really like my nova

it smited a brace of pheasants last weekend

i may need to get one in 20 gauge to givem a sporting chance

the online specs say it should have 3 chokes:

Yep, I haven't had a chance to call Benelli to see if that is a misprint. I'll be testing it with Buckshot this afternoon. Went well on the wobble trap range yesterday.

I'm thinkin that it is in direct competition with the Marine Magnum---therefore no chokes on the cylinder bore HD weapon.

Just got off the phone with Benelli, after 10 mins of waiting.....

She said she went to the head gunsmith there.

There are some WITH the interchangable choke tubes, but they have now gone with the fixed choke. So now I need to find a barrel with the interchangable tubes. Anybody got one :)

They also appreciated the heads up on the website being wrong.

i would also like to know if a barrel & bolt swap are all it takes to set up a Nova 12 as a 20. Wouldn't that be slick?

Just got back from the 000Buck Pattern. Kept all but 1 pellet in a B27, and that one got out only due to the fact that I aimed a bit high. Did much better than my M1:cuss:

I dont know about the barrel swap, I haven't held a 20 Gauge version yet so I can't comment on it.

Looks just like the regular Nova, only in stainless.

I believe that is a nickel finish rather than stainless. At least according to the benelli catalog and website.
