SKS-D VS. Romanian

If we are talking about a Romanian AK I would have to go that way because the SKS-D can't use drums without cutting some off the bottom of the stock to get clearence to insert the drum.

Dont Romainian SKS' have forged receivers as opposed to stamped ones? A bit heavier, but more solid in the long run (not that it'd make any practical difference).

All SKS's no matter the country of origin have forged receivers. SKS's with stamped receivers are very, very,very rare collectors items.

The Romanian SKS is probably made slightly better(one of my two Romies is the most accurate SKS I own), but I'd definately pick up an SKS-D if I ever saw one. They aren't very common at all. Plus they are just cool!

Add bonus points for the SKS-D if you own an AK and can swap mags between the two rifles.
