All of us that do, love them. Mine is a 18" SPR, flawless in operation, and a breeze to clean. (best thing of it) VERY accurate too.

The biggest problem with POF ARs is that I don't own any.

If I was lucky enough to own one, I'd likely write the most glowing review you had ever read.

A friend has one that I've shot several times. It's very nice. A bit front-heavy but that's common for most rifles with rail systems. I think it's a solution in search of a problem, but it's a nice rifle.

I have one, well, a POF upper at least. I have a Burris XTR-14 and QD LT-104 on the way, along with a LaRue sling, flashlight mount and Magul rail covers, but other than that it's done and ready for carbine classes. It's an excellent upper despite being a "solution in search of a problem". My next AR will be a complete one from POF but in .308 Win. Oh ... and do I like it ... heck yeah!! As gvnwst mentioned, they don't have any problems in the accuracy department and the action requires a lot less cleaning. Very similar to my Mini-14 in terms of how clean the action is after a few hundred rounds. I just picked up a box of 1K Federal XM193 55gr ammunition for a "rainy day". I'm going to "waste" a few rounds to see how the POF handles them at 100/200 yards (get some D.O.P.E.) but the rest is going in the safe.

I'm not 1858, but that's the Daniel Defense Omega 7.0 rail for the piston gun.

I'm not 12131, but he's right!! If you don't order a POF rail to start with, it's an excellent (extremely rigid) upgrade to the M4 hand guard. :D I need to remove the gas block so that I can remove the now redundant metal retaining clip that captures the front of the plastic M4 hand guard. I'm hoping that I can remove the front sling "loop" too.

I have one of the earlier 18" SPRs as well with an RRA lower with CTR (mil-spec) and MIAD full grip.

I can attach files - pictures in thumb nails but I want to be able to post the large sized pictures as well.

How do you guys post full sized pictures? What is the step by step process? Please be explicit!

Thanks. I will post pictures as soon as I learn how to.

if you tried to attach full-size picture and it shows a small thumbnail - that's OK; just click the thumbnail and you'll get the full-size photo

I sent a PM to rbernie one of our moderators about an AR tool I helped design. I hope he makes it a sticky.

In the process of posting pictures via photobucket, I learned the process Winston Smith suggested. I will post pictures soon.

1858- What front sight do you have on your AR? I bought a CMMG M4LEP and I have had difficulty finding a front sight that works on the same plane as the back sight. I don't want to spend any more money until I know that what I am buying will work. It is for BUIS's so it is not preventing me from using it.

dusty14u, I have a Troy HK style folding front battle sight.

http://troyind.com/FrontFoldingHK.html

The POF originally came with an FTA-2005 fixed front sight (mounted to the rail on the gas block).

http://www.pof-usa.com/parts/arparts.htm

If you look at the photo of my POF above, you'll notice that the top of the gas block rail is in the same plane as the top of the receiver rail and the top of the Daniel Defense handguard rail.

Thanks for the info. I will try to get one ordered this week.

I have been using B-Square quick detach bases and I have a Konus 1-4 x 24mm and a Barska 5-15 x 56mm scopes mounted that I can switch in a few seconds.
