I went with open sights on my 870P for easier long distance shooting with slugs, as I shoot a lot of slugs, they do the job quite well and work much better for me than ghost rings.
However I may still swap them out for a set of AO express sights as I'd originally planned. I figure the big night lit AO's will let me place slugs just as well while being faster closer in when I'm mostly using buckshot, plus they look cool. :)

Beads for birds. I'm still a bird hunter by upbringing, no matter what else I shoot. That bead's an old friend.

That bead's an old friend. Yup.
And if the gun is an old friend...
Doesn't seem to matter much if the bead falls off.:)

GR sights. I'm a rifle man, first and foremost, and I like having all my longarms have the same sight picture.

Two beads for trap and carry over to skeet and 5 stand.
One bead for birds.
Peep sights for deer and "Serious" work.
Open sights are hard for my old eyes. Peeps also have much more sight radius.
I've used scopes on shotguns little. Less for red dots.
Did some training with a NVD, but long ago.

Agree with Sam,
Of course I learned from the get-go without beads...I mean I was high cotton then...but still shoot without for practice and such,... took the monies, the prizes once...fellow handed me my bead afterwards, and said "I think this is yours young fella...;)
I use front and mid mostly with ribbed bbls, front for non rib bbls. Regardless of target/critter/purpose.
