Ok fellas, Im about 4 months away from finishing my Remote tour here to Korea. I have decided on a Kimber Ultra Ten II for my Remote completion tour present to myself. Have shopped around alot when I was home on midtour in Dec and have fallen in love with the Kimber.

So I ask you all out there who have had experiences with the Ultra Ten II to tell me how its working for you. This will be my 1st .45. I want a 10 round compact auto and have at one time come close to buying the Taurus PT145 but have since backed off. I want a 1911 style .45 instead of a Sig or even a Glock. Dont get me wrong, I love my G19 but dont like the bulk of the G30 or 6 rounds in the G36.

Any other options would spark my curiousity as well. Point me in the right direction.

I've also thought about getting one, but it will have to wait until after I get a Bushmaster.

Try www.1911forum.com

It was not well recieved.

When you hit the forums, there's an actual Kimber board you can search or post.

Mine has been in the hands of a gunsmith for a couple weeks, I asked him if he would trust it after this and he said yes, I'm not so sure now. It had FTF problems all of a sudden after being fine the first 3 times I took it out. I may go with a colt defender or just go to the tried and true glock 30. I really want it to work as I really like the idea of a lightweight 10 rd. 1911 type.
He said it works fine now, I will have it Monday, I'll go to the range Tuesday and post the results here....tom
