Do you ever read the Anti sites?

I decided to look them over today. Know thy enemy and all that stuff.
I was on the VPC website and only got through four to their talking points before I was so :fire: I wanted to throw my monitor out the window.
:cuss: liars and con artists!
The bad thing is they are well funded and organized. They have talking points and downloadable documents, etc. ready to go if someone decides after reading their crap that they want to become an activist.
So do you guys read their stuff to keep tabs on where the next attack is coming from?
What sites are good sources? I have found VPC and Brady. Also found a link for the group for my state (I didn't even know there was one).

I've read their talking points in the past, which have all been refuted with facts by the pro-rights side. All they can do now is repeat the refuted points over and over. It's the old Joseph Goebbel's theory of repeating the big lies until they become the "truth".
I don't read their stuff anymore because it's not interesting or mentally challenging.

You know VPC monitors(or at least used to monitor) pro-gun discussion boards and personal web pages.

I have always considered those sites as well as the ACLU nothing but Communist front organizations with the sole purpose of taking over of the America. All they money they need is furnished by ignorant people, pro-communist organizations and communist governments.
Remember, many years ago they said they would take over America without firing a shot. We would fall into their hands like a ripe apple off of a tree.
To me, they are in the government, media, and especially in the schools, where they can condition us, and especially our children, to not fight for America.

I always read the anti sites. You can't properly refute their view, if you don't know it.

Look, they may be many things, but I doubt they're actual card carrying commies. There are hordes of conservative antis out there.

Sometimes I'll hop over to one of their boards and do some reading. When I don't have time to work out, it's an instantaneous way to get my heart rate and blood pressure up.

You are completely correct in everything you say.
"A worldwide oeverturning of values cannot take place without the annihilation of the old values and the creation of new ones by the revolutionaries." - Georg Lucaks
"Rather than seize power first and impose a cultural revolution from above, Gramsci argued, marxists in the west must first change the culture; then power would fall into their laps like ripened fruit. But to change the culture would require a 'long march through the institutions' - the arts, cinema, theater, schools, colleges, seminaries, newspapers, magazines, and the new electronic medium, radio. One by one, each had to be captured and converted and politicized into an agency of revolution. Then the people could be slowly educated to understand and even welcome the revolution." - Pat Buchanan, "The Death of the West."
Pat Buchanan's "Death of the West" should be required reading for any non-liberal, because it exposes the communist roots of the left.
I do not say that lightly or in jest; all modern day liberals are communists. Well, communists or useful idiots. ALL of the modern left's ideologies are based on communist ideals, and chapter four of Pat's book chronicles the birth of the modern left and makes it agonizingly clear how thoroughly the communists have penetrated our society and most all of its institutions. :(

Micro:
I know you take pride in being a pro-2A "liberal," but that doesn't change the fact that the left's ideology is communist.
I can go over it all with you if you'd like. You should at least know the roots of the agenda you support. I'm not, of course, trying to flame you, nor do I mean this to be a personal attack.
It's just the truth. And sometimes it hurts.

DrJones: Rather, many of the ideas of the Marxist left are far more ancient than Communism.:D
For example, Jewish communities have successfully used welfare schemes for centuries.

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance
i spend a fair amount of my surf time, poking about the anti sites and googling their terminology, staff members and references.
There are prolly not more than 200 of them that are employed in actively
infringing our rights. Alot of their rubish is entirely self referencial.
My web based data mining has uncovered core anti strategies and tacts
prior to their public appearance in Annapolis. Our rebutal was so on target,
the Statist Quislings were in shell shock.
Whats more fun is to rain on their parades and press conferences
I have seen them wince went i fire up my militia drum
its quite entertaining to watch the insects scuttle about when the light gets turned on.
Most of them are programmed, kool aid drinking puppets that have no depth to any of their arguments. If you are quick, you can detonate their next point before they even bring it up.

You might want to read them as they are revamping to counter some of our arguments. One of the posts that set me off was their attempt to refute the common sense statement that the AW Ban bans guns because of cosmetic features. Their new counter is that those cosmetic features are design features to make the guns more efficient at killing.
I get and read literature and emails from them.

That is exactly what brought me there in the first place C.R. but I wasn't prepared for what I was seeing. In some of the statements they were making if you substituted a race or religion in place of the gun name it would have read like a hate crime.
I think I am going to read some more, but I'm going to make sure I'm sitting in my easy chair with a glass of "calming beverage" instead of caffeine.

For example, Jewish communities have successfully used welfare schemes for centuries. There's a difference between communal sharing and communist welfare. Hint: It has to do with guns.
...Oh, and yes, I look at the anti sites.

I check the anti- sites out occasionally, but once you've been through them a couple of times, you can practically predict word for word what they're going to say about anything.

I check out the Brady Bunch and MMM sites often, but as indicated previously, its always the same crap. One thing I have found with the Brady Bunch is no direct links to anything supporting their 'facts' as presented by Barnes and their liberal spin doctors. No way to contact them except by FAX. As for the Mommies(the Million Mom March hooked up with the Brady bunch last year and I think 4 of them showed up for some rally earlier in the year),I have signed up for E-mail alerts and have received a couple asking for money to 'defeat the NRA' and the bill 'that would protect fierarms manufacturers' and 'reckless gun dealers' from law suits from 'victims' of gun violence. I believe they may get contributions from trial lawyers, eh!
Anyway, its always good to see what the ASD folks are up to.
