Tropa de elite scout rifle

I was wondering what rifle the character used in the movie "tropa de elite". The movie depicts the work of the BOPE to fight the druglords in the favelas of Brazil.
I took a screenshot of the movie and i wondered if it is the Brazilian M.08/34 .30 Mauser Short Rifle, Caliber: 30-06.?
I don't know if anyone who has knowledge of this rifle is used by Bope or the Policia Militar in the favelas as a scout rifle?

All I can tell from that picture is that it appears to be a Mauser. What type or caliber, I would have no idea.

Externally it does appear identical to my 08/34 7mm short rifle.
