Saturday My friend & I did a boys day out at the club with our Recurves & a few C&B Revolvers from my collection.

Right after I got off from work we met together & set up at the club first for shooting the pistols.
I set a big box up with 2 100yd targets "all I had at the time" on it & then I showed Logan how to load my Pietta 1860 Army up & then my lil Cannon "Pietta New Model Army w/ 5.5 inch barrel."
Stood at 7 yards at first & let him touch off the first rounds in the 60' Lem me tell ya, I don't think I could get a bigger smile out of this guy, he truely loved that 60' & before long he was loading the chambers like a pro. & keeping his groups in the 4 inch range out to even 20 yards.

He tried my lil Cannon but didn't like the grip because of his BIG HANDS but he was impressed how easily it was to keep the shots in the X ring with it though.

After about 90 rounds of .457 142gr. Ball, 15 rounds of .456 220gr. conicals through my lil Cannon & 10 rounds of .450 200gr. conicals through the 60' he was sold & really wanted to get one for himself.

Well after we launched about 60 arrows each from our Recurves & got back to my house I showed him how to fully clean the 60' & after a few more instructions on use & what not he was in tears when I told him that since they made a great cupple that he can have it for his collection.

I may have lost a long time friend but I gained a very greatful shooting partner..

Yup... been there, done that too. I bought three Chinese SKS back when they were going for $100/ea. A buddy of mine asked me if I'd sell one of 'em to him. Told him sure will... a year later I asked him if he was still wanting to buy it... said he was still saving the $100 to buy it... at Christmas time I wrapped it up and told him Merry Christmas. I figured he needed the SKS more than I needed the money. Times like that come back your way many fold over as the years go by.

Nobility such as illustrated in your post is rare, even unknown, by so-called royalty.

My thinking is that I've got 3 others & a few more "when my brother gets tired of my Dragoon" & having a shooting partner is worth more that their weight in Gold, besides I'm sure he'll let me touch off a few rounds through the ole girl every once in a while any ways.
