Looking to get an extra New Vaquero cylinder so I can have it bored out. Anyone have a lead on where to buy these? Checked e-gunparts.com, no luck.

Thanks,

Mike

Ruger. And you'll have to send your revolver to them for fitting. Ruger will not sell cylinders separately to anybody.

Bored out to what? If it is a standard caliber, Ruger might do the whole job.

Having one converted by Bowen to 10mm Mag. Wanted an extra cylinder in 10mm.

If I can't get a second cylinder, I may just go with 41 mag.

Somehow, I can't see the 10mm Magnum being a good candidate for a SA revolver.

It has to headspace on the case mouth like an auto pistol, because you can't use moon clips in a Single Action.

That being the case, you can't use a heavy roll crimp to keep the bullets from pulling due to the recoil.
That is a non-factor in an auto pistol the cartridge was designed for.

It seems to me the rimmed .41 Mag would be a much better choice because you can roll crimp it.
And .41 Mag bullets, unlike .40 pistol bullets, do have a revolver roll-crimp cannelure on them.
