I was bored one night.... and I always end up buying crazy things when I get bored... So I was cruising custom knife makers sites and forums and I came across JK handmade.

After exchanging a few emails with John (who is an incredibly awesome guy btw) I decided on the hiker with black micarta grips. I also asked that he make it out of the 3/16" stock and put in red liners... Turn around time was good and he got it done about a week earlier then I was expecting! After the shipping confirmation came, I patiently checked USPS and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was delivered a day ahead of schedule! It must have been my lucky week or something...

I got home, and opened the box. Boy, let me tell you, the wait was soooooo well worth it! This thing is a beauty. Sharp, beautiful and really not that expensive when you are talking about a truly hand made blade .

Well, here are the pictures of the final product! I highly recommend John. He does wonderful work!

Well, if nothing else, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Nice knives, guys!

Finanaces being what they are a JK knife is on the wish list, meanwhile I am trying to imitate his design in my next homemade knife. I guess that is flattery.
