Need your advice, pls. Considering selling my (2) Commemorative Garands, D-Day & Iwo-Jima, NIB, for $2000.00, to a dealer to raise cash to buy a 2nd. Gen. SAA, NIB, w/ orig. Stagecoach Box, .45 cal., 7 1/2" barrel, superb case colors, for $2595.00. I called around, this is a good price. I don't have time to sell privately, I'll lose out on the SAA. I w/ be taking a hit on the Garands, I pd. around $3000.00 for them & w/ only get $2000.00. But... The Garands won't go up in value I don't think like the SAA & this w/ be an investment buy. What do you advise, should I go for it??? Thanks!

Borrow the money, buy the Colt, then sell the Garands for what they are worth. $1000 difference covers a lot of interest on only $2500.
Apropos of nothing, Colt inflation has really slowed down. It will keep going up, but not nearly as fast as they were it doesn't look like.

That is top dollar for the Colt.

I am not into buying guns for an investment, If you want it get it with a loan and then sell the Garands.
I would then shoot the snot out of it.
