Are there any good magazines that deal in shooting black powder firearms?
Did a quick google search but came up empty.

Also, I've found a lot of good stuff in Backwoodsman magazine, and in old Gun Digests.

Backwoodsman is a quarterly magazine which often has black powder firearms articles. Probably more to the point is Muzzle Blasts, the monthly magazine of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association (NMLRA (http://www.nmlra.org/)).

There were once some really good ones. Black Powder Cartridge News, Black Powder Report, Muzzleloader, Muzzle Blasts, and a few others I no longer recall.

Today it is Muzzle Blasts, and I think there is Still a Black Powder Cartridge Magazine. Muzzleloader is still around as I recall. There's a few Civil War magazines. I've seen a copy of a quarterly about the French and Indian War, don't know if it is still in business.

Some other outdoor magazines, seem to me to be just 3 pages of articles and 100 pages of classified ads.
I like Back Woodsman, but I don't buy it for the muzzleloading info.

Frankly I rely a lot more on the traditional ml forum for info.

Thanks all being completely retired I like to read & since I've been bitten by the black powder bug figured I'd see whats out there to read, Black Powder Cartridge Magazine website has a tab for a free issure so I ordered that to see if its worth subscribing to.
