Katie has been begging to go squirrel hunting with me, and as a reward for doing well in school, we go today! It's her first time hunting, and should be fun!

She's still asleep; I'll be getting her up in a few minutes. Can't wait to bag a few bushy tails to make her first-ever hunt a success!

I recently saw a boy hunting squirrels accompanied by his mother. They had just started into the woods so I didn't get to talk to them. It was nice to see a young hunter considering that the average hunter is in his early 50s. A good a way as any to spend "quality time " with a kid. I hope he was successful......I hope your daughter is successful too .

Well, got back a while ago.

Saw lots of the little tree rats, but they were safe. Daddy was a terrible shot :o

Anyway, we had a wonderful time. And I learned how still she can be when she's determined to kill something! Wonder why she can't sit still at a restaurant? :D
