No, but I would expect great things!!

I have used about every other 110 grain varmint bullet in mine through the years with great results on crows & coyotes.

I would expect the V-Max to be even better.

No- But I have seen one launched out of a 300 Win mag over a max powder charge. Jack rabbits go "POOF!".

Not done to often though, my brother likes his barrels to last a while.

I just started tests on the 110gr Sierra Varminter for my 30-06 and the results with Varget look promising. I would guess the V-Max bullet would do just as well or better. My next set of tests with the Sierra bullet are going to be with 3031 and 4895.

cdet69,
Have you reloaded with a 110gr bullet before and are now switching to the V-Max? If so what powder/powders have you used? Any favorites?

I tried some 110 gr in my 06 years ago and after a bit of fussing, looking for the right load, they'd take out a wood chuck like a hand grenade. The horse rancher where I hunted was happy as could be when they weren't around making holes that would break legs

qajaq59,
Which powder did you use to load those 110gr bullets?

53.0 grains IMR-4064 and the Sierra 110 shoots under 1 MOA in my old 03A3 Springfield Sporter. The V-Max should do as well if not better.

I just don't use a 30-06 for varmint hunting anymore and haven't tried them.
