M1 Garand Repair Shop

Greetings All:

My CMP M1 is in need of some TLC.:o Mainly the barrel is about wore out. I'd also like to get it re-parked, maybe a trigger job.


Can anyone recommend a good M1 Grarand repair / refurbish shop? I've looked over several listed on-line, (Fulton-Armory, M1garandrifle, etc.) and they seem to know what they're doing.

Anyone have experience with something like this?

I don't mind shipping it to get good service.

There are any number of good smiths that can rebarrel an M1. My vote goes to Jon Tank, at Tank's Rifle Shop. I've known Jon for nearly 30 years, and he does some of the very best work that I've seen:
