I've been doing a little preliminary research into CCW holsters for my Sig P220 and I think I've narrowed it down to 2 choices. Money is tight right now, so I only want to buy one and make it count. Obviously if I'm penny-pinching about a holster, I can't (right now) afford to go buy a smaller pistol. I'm open to other suggestions, these are just the results of some quick comparison.

The two I've narrowed it down to are the:

DeSantis Tuck-This II: http://www.desantisholster.com/storefrontB2CWEB/itemdetail.do?action=prepare_detail&itm_id=10961&itm_index=0

Galco Skyops:

I live in South Florida, so I'm wearing shorts and a single shirt most of the year. I'm 5'6" 150lbs so I'm definitely worried about printing with a full sized pistol. The area I live in has no tolerance for inadvertent open carry or accidental exposure, that's why I'm considering and IWB holster.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

get a good quality holster. I recently purchase a DeSantis speed draw holster for my .40 sigma VE.That thing was broken in after about 15 hours of wear. I hardly notice the gun is on my hip. My old cheap nylon holster goes in the trash. Not even fit to give to my worst enemy.

I have the Tuck-This holster and use it for a 220. For the most part I like it, but the gun sits a little close to the waistband, I would prefer it to be a little higher. So - good for concealing it and keeping it controlled if that is a primary concern. One thing to just watch out for, is the mag holder doesn't have a "cover" so I have removed the holster and while carrying it through the house, the extra mag slide out and hit the floor.

I just traded out my Kahr MK9 for a Sig 220. The Sig came with a Desantis Cozy Partner. I carried with it yesterday for the first time and it seemed to carry pretty well.

I had a Comp-Tac MTAC (http://www.comp-tac.com/product_info.php?products_id=95) holster for my Kahr, and still do for my Glock 29. A damn nice holster that really seems to tuck nice. I will be picking one up for the Sig when my money is better. For now, that Cozy Partner will work just fine.
