Tuning an 870

Can some one point me to good reference material for tuning an 870? I have tried some of the TFL floaters and can seem to find the right one. Thanks

Probably the best info available is Jerry Kuhnhausen's book "The Remington Shotguns: A Shop Manual".

This has about everything known about the 870 and 1100 shotguns, from disassembly, to repair, to tuning, to rebuilding.

I'll second the motion re Kuhnhausen. Dry reading but unexcelled input.
