For those interested, J&G Sales is now showing CZ-82 9mm makarov in stock. California ready (9 round magazine) for $223.95 VG condition. Regular 12 round magazine for $209.95 (Backordered). However, one could always buy the california one and get a traditional 12 round magazine later if they wanted too. Anyway; some were asking about them. Here's some available.

Christcorp, Hey, I tried to buy mak ammo while passing through Cheyenne last month. Had no luck. Several gun stores didn't carry it and several must have been Mom & Pop deals because they used phone mesages noting that they were only open after 5P.
However, I did stock up last week on Silver Bear, 50 count for $10.95 at a local gun show.
BTW, don't know about you, but I can never get more than 11 rounds in the CZ -82's "12round magazine."

AIM Surplus has the CZ-82 with one mag and a holster for $229.95. The pistols are supposed to be in excellent condition. I've bought from AIM before and they are usually conservative in grading their guns.

Doug; Frontier Arms; located on Lincolnway (Main down town street) (Look at mapquest or whatever) carries it in stock. Open 9am-5pm Mon-Sat. Also; Guns&Gear also carries makarov ammo. Located on the same street but further down the street. The only problem, is both shops carry USA ammo. E.g. Hornady and Winchester. I will buy a box of hornady for self defense, but definitely not to plink with. They don't care any silver or brown bear. I simply buy 500-1000 rounds of that from Sportsmansguide.com. But those 2 gun shops are the main ones. They have regular business hours. There's 2-3 more, but those are more mom/pop that have part time hours. Then there's a couple of pawn shops, sports authority in the mall, and walmart. They don't carry makarov ammo, but they've got the normal calibers.

Just got one from SOG. Listed at 199 from good to very good condition. Comes with extra mag, mag pouch, police holster(not large military one) and cleaning rod. Paid extra 10 for handpick. Finish is like new with no paint flaking. Minor in almost not noticable holster wear. Barrel was shiney. All in all this firearm look like it had minimal use.

Went to the Gun Broker.com and found the CZ-82 prices were escalating fast ranging from $250 to more than $300 for a few. And in some cases one is lucky to get a holster or a second magazine, plus some looked to be in pretty shabby condition. I've notice that Centerfire, AIM and now Classic Arms all indicate they have none left for sale. It's inevitable that these fine pistols are going to command higher prices as we see the import numbers drying up.

Gunbroker is always higher than most retailers... when I was shopping for a Tokarev I noticed all GB auctions were $50-100 more than what you could buy straight from J&G, SOG, Century, etc.

Picked up this one a long while back - for a song, too - but recently refinished it with KG Gunkote paint: OD green slide, FDE barrel and frame, matte black sights and grips.

The CZ82 I got from aimsurplus, during the first time they had them in stock, arrived looking brand new with not one wear mark or scratch on it.
On a separate note: it's a fantastic shooter, fits my hand PERFECTLY, and is probably the best handgun out there for ~$250.

For you all that just bought "CZ 82's you will find that the grips crack quite easily, make sure you tighten them and use a little blue lock tight or else the loose grip will crack from the recoil. Also this guy makes grips for CZ 82's real cheap www.designergrips.com. I just bought a pair for $28 and he ships in a few days; a lot cheaper than the Marsch grips and about half the price plus they are made out of strong epoxy and more durable than wood.
These are great guns, I also called CZ USA and bought a new front site for a CZ 83 which has a nice glow in the dark dot. with a little sanding it fits nice. but with all surplus guns you will absolutely need a new recoil spring or else you will gush blood after a box of shooting.
