Load for AK 47

Been reading on reloading AK 47. Some say .311, some say .312, some sa.308 ok ? Who has experience loading for this gun? Thanks

I use the Hornady .310 diameter bullet to good effect in my SA vZ-58. Also worked well in a WASR10 and Yugo SKS. .308 tends to be too narrow, but some Ruger Mini-30 barrels were .308 diameter, IIRC. I love handloading, fave load is 24 grains of Accurate Arms #1680 with this bullet, perfect powder, IMHO.

Funny, I just gave a similar reply to another post. I had a Longbranch Canadian "Enfield" .303, and they run between .310 and .312. So I had the barrel slugged and it was the same as my WASR - .311.
So, I'm all for slugging the barrel.
