I am considering the new S&W 646 but have read that there can be problems extracting empties from the Titanium cylinder.

Does anyone here have one of these new 646s? How is it working?

Thanks.

I have one and extraction is fine as long as I stick to jacketed bullets. Extraction is a bear when lead bullets are used. Even moderate loads with lead bullets result in sticky extraction. Mine is headed for the safe for now.

Do they make them with a stainless cylinder?

S&W does not make the L-frame .40 S&W with a revolver. If you want a stainless cylinder, the N-frame M610 is the way to go.

Even the old Performance Center 646's of '00 had Ti cylinders.
