Mods,
Please forgive me for starting another Crimson Trace thread. I wanted to alert everyone to the great price. (If you order directly from the company, the price is $229.95 per set.) I just now ordered two sets. One from "Cheaper Than Dirt" and another from my regular gun shop.
I got a set for my 642 and a set for my wife's Taurus Multi Alloy 85. Each set was about $165.00. Both sets are the small boot grip models.
My shop owner told me an interesting story. Seems a man had come in and purchased a S&W .38 Special snub for his wife. She couldn't even keep the shots on the paper at ~21 feet. (No matter how much she practiced.) He then purchased her a set of CT grips.
It made all the difference in the world! She suddenly began to shoot groups. Pretty good groups, at that.
Oh, I ordered a set from "CTD" because I needed a few other things too. I've got a nice (Looks almost new) .50 cal ammo box. CTD has a set of three trays for the box for $8.49. It'll be great for storing my cleaning stuff.

Hi, KR!
I'm confused: you said they were 229/set? Then you said you paid 165/set?
Which is correct? I'm ready to buy a set for my SP101, and $165 for new Lasergrips is PHENOMENAL...

Tell me where!?!?!
Clarify?
Thanks,
FM/Fig

Sorry to be so unclear. If you order the Crimson Trace grips from the Crimson Trace company, you'll pay $229.95. If you order the same set from "Cheaper Than Dirt", you'll pay about $165.00. It's a good break.
My regular gunshop got me the second set for about the same price from his
distributor. (Cheaper Than Dirt was out of the Taurus C-T grips.) Mine will go on my S&W 642 and my wife's will go on her Taurus Multi Alloy 85 .38 Special.

The last thread on CT put me over the edge also, went to Cabela's on
Sunday & picked up a set in combat rubber for my 340PD.

Judging from dry firing, I think I will need to tweak the windage screw, elevation seems fine.

This online store (http://www.ultout.com/crimsontrace-sights-laser,night,standard.htm) has low prices, great delivery, & lists their current inventory.

I got my grips with a really nice discount too. Just keep an eye out for sales.

I brought mine at a Christmas sale direct from Crimson Trace a couple of years ago.

Now that the wife has decided she wants a Taurus, there isn't a pair of taurus grips to be found anywhere. Hope some show up by december.

Okie, When I ordered my CT’s from Cabelas ( I had a coupon from cabelas so I got them for about $165 vs. reg price $179) They didn’t stock the grips for my Sp101 at the time. However they special ordered them for me at the low price. Maybe you could special order them. Just give the model # and most places will do this.

Model LG-085 fits Taurus small frame revolvers, models 85, 94, 605, 650 CIA, 731, 850 CIA and 941.

I purchased the CT's for my S&W from "CTD" and yes, they're out of the Taurus 85 CT grips. I just called my regular gunshop and he called a distributor. Be in the first of next week. (Same price too.) Call your local shop & ask for what you want. No sweat.

Cheaper Than Dirt is REALLY good! I looked back when I started this thread and it says 28 October--thus, that day is when I ordered my C-T Laser Grips. I just went out to check the mail and there the boxes were. UPS hadn't even rung my doorbell.:( The C-T grips and the "other stuff" I'd ordered from CTD was sitting on my front porch. The grips went on in less than 5 minutes and are WAY brighter than I thought they'd be. I'm using the same holster and the grips look the same except for the part where the laser comes out. There is a compartment on the inside of the left grip for a pair of extra batteries plus room for the tiny allen wreches for adjustment. I also got some military T-shirts for about a buck a piece. I'm going to order more of them.
side note: I opened the shirts up and found the size to be "XXL" instead of the "XL" I had ordered. However, the XXL is a perfect fit. If you order some and usually wear XL, go ahead and order XXL instead. XL's might be too tight. Plus, the "tail" of these tees are far longer than department store T-shirts. Good experience from Cheaper Than Dirt. I'll gratefully keep ordering from there.
(This laser is INCREDIBLY bright.)
