No guns for Japan. That's an idea I readily endorse. Keep them unarmed and ignorant--doubly so for their government.

Grandfather, you must be very happy looking down on this. No more Saipans.

Bizarre....Japan's pretty tight on guns and weapons, they always have been since the days of the Samurai and the "crossroads cut"*.

As an actual, living, breathing police state, you'd think that they could effectively prohibit them, but nope, tain't happening.

Surreal and true story:

The first time I visited japan, the customs inspector politely asked me if I had brought a machine gun with me. I told him no, I left it at home.

His face: :what:

*The crossroads cut: Historically, anyone of the armed elite samurai class could kill any peasant he wished, on any pretext. A young warrior, wishing to test his blade, would sit by the crossroads, and attack the first person who came by, using a specific type of cut, and analyse the results.

Naturally, this behaviour gave rise to the ninja, who were basically farmers who secretly waged a low intensity war of assassination against the worst offenders. If you examine ninja technique and weaponry, you'll notice that they are mostly crude, and derived from agricultural implements, and their stealth tactics are appropriate for engaging a militarily superior enemy.

O.K., I'll ask it: since Japan has page after page of "gun control" laws why is this "campaign" necessary if "gun control" eliminates crime or, at least, gun crime? Someone e-mail Sarah Brady, I want to hear the answer.

"No! Guns 2003 in Roppongi Hills"

Yeah that'll stop the criminals, particularly the Yaks, from using their guns on the general public who don't have any. Way to go Guardian Angles, kudos to you.

My opinion of the GA has just dropped a notch or two.
