Anyone have a good load for .357 magnum 158gr JHP using Power Pistol?
The Lyman reloading manual I use lists it for 125gr jacketed but not 158 - is there a reason not to use it?

Check Alliant's website. I see one recipe there that calls for 8.5 grains of Power Pistol when using Speer 158 grain GDHP's.

Whats with Alliant? I just lucked across a 4lb jug of PowerPistol this week. Never having used it before I went to Alliant's site to look at load data. Very minimal info.
For example for 9mm with 115 gr they only show a Speer Gold Dot HP.
I emailed them asking if the load was the same for a 115 gr FMJ.
They replied wanting to know what brand FMJ:confused: Told them MagTech and they replied with a little more info...just seemed odd they are so sparse with info on their site.

Alliant was bought by ATK a couple years ago or more.

ATK also owns CCI, Speer, RCBS, Estate, Outers, and Federal, and several major firearms related companies.
At that point, they stopped showing load data for anything except Speer bullets..
It sucks, but you can't fight a big multi-national corporate business that owns everything.

Interesting. They did email me an answer however.
