I have an old Remington 870 Express 20 GA that I want to restore. It originally came with a wood stock and fore-end but it's pretty beat up now after 20 years of use. I would like a new synthetic fore-end and stock but Remington doesn't make them for that gun. Can anybody recommend a place to get something like this custom made??

There are few options. Bubba thinks 20 Gauge is for kids, so you don't find as much 20 Gauge stuff out there, until you start looking at higher-end shotguns. Then there's plenty.
Cabela's does sell a 20 Gauge synthetic stock set for the 870: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat602007-cat20811&id=0012768210492a&navCount=8&podId=0012768&parentId=cat20811&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=IK&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20811&hasJS=true

Yeah but I hear the Cabelas version isn't a very good fit

Remington has both wood and synthetic stocks for that gun. They are still making it.
Well, just looking at the Remington parts list I see Birch, Satin Walnut, Synthetic, High Grade Wingmaster wood, synthetic with thumbhole, another synthetic, and a laminate wood, all for an 870 20 gauge.
