Just curious, what is the legality of buying flash bangs? And where can you buy them? http://www.less-lethal.com/index.htm

Fun with laws.

I imagine the practical reason to put 'em on the list is what you could do to improve their hazardous nature as a basic explosive device. Like, say, taping a bunch of BB's or some glass around it?

Buy yourself some Quarter-sticks.:D
Don't know if they are as powerful as a flash-bang, but they are loud enough.

Hi...
I live in Peru and we don't get to buy flashbangs here, but I manufacture my own (based on a sweedish design) and they are sized as a 35 mm film canister. I don't think I can post the instructions on the board, but if you wish to get detailed instructions, I will be happy to give them to you if you write me a PM
Good luck

I guess the flashbands are the only real "Weapons of Mass Distraction":p

Making exploding fireworks, or "Weapons of Mass Destruction" according to the BATFE, is ILLEGAL in the United States.
Some potassium perchlorate and aluminum ("Flash powder") shoved in a film canister could make you a terrorist.

I hope no one on the boards takes Rogelio up on the offer to produce the instructions.
Even considering this and discussing it may/could be construed as conspiratorial in nature by the feds.

El Tejon, how would I go about getting this permit/paying the tax/getting a flashbang? In California?
(I know I'm a minor so there's no chance of me getting one, but I think my parents are interested in flashbangs. ;) )

Combat, assuming you are of age for Title II, then buy it on a 4 just like a suppressor or emmagee, for example. Do not know what Kalifornistan permits.

Good luck trying to get them here in Kali. Even God would need special permission.

It seems you might be ok if you use the device immediately after making it. After all, those Tannerite exploding targets are perfectly legal as long you do not store them mixed -- and that stuff is considered high explosive. Both of the main components are pretty readily available; just be prepared for an extra wait at airport security if any residue of perchlorate is found on you...

yeah, it is very easy to get-

Perfectly legal and easy to get the chemicals, you just have trouble when you mix them.

Gotta remind everyone that flash-bangs are flammable and have set rooms afire when used.
Not the sort of thing you really will be able to talk the typical parental units into getting for 'home-defense'.
How about asking for a large trainable dog to begin with?

I have seen in "Guns & Weapons of LE" they have some cool reusable ones they make, it would be funny to use on the neighbors dog that keeps craping in your yard.:D
