Demand? I thought that was responsible for the bulk of ammo pricing, raw materials being about even (1oz of lead either way, etc).

Different SKU's for one thing-

25rds - 12 Gauge Federal Premium 9 Pellet Copper Plated 00 Buck

25rds - 12 Ga. Federal Vital-Shok Flite-Control 9 pell. OO Buck
[PFC15400]

Likely one listing is older than the other as well, and represents a different wholesale cost at the time it was stocked.

The more expensive shells are buffered, and the pellets are stacked. This contributes to some of the additional cost. Both are 9 pellet copper plated shot. The buffered round should pattern better, but for HD range, I doubt it is necessary.
