Has anyone used this type of storage bag before? I'm looking for the pros/cons of these bags.

yes, they are excellent. there are two companies out of Texas, that I know of that make these. This is actually old Army technology, the bags were much more rubbery/stretchy then, and they were kind of greyish- they were known as Elephant rubbers. They are impregnated with vci material, which emitts a vapor, and sticks to everything, especially metal. vapor lock on metal, means, no moisture can get to it. Remmy gun oil also now has vci in the liquid, which i also use, I then put them regularly in silicon sock bags, and finally in the gunbags themselves, I use vci emitter discs.
As you can see, I am taking no chances. these guys may send you a free
sample or two.http://norustbags.net/

the discs are excellent because they have a peel off sticky side, that so far,
sticks to the inside of my rifle bags pretty well.
