Greetings,
Maybe I am using the product the wrong way. And yes, I watched the video....
When I use it into my 45acp barrel, there is still some lead into the grooves near the edges of the rifling. When you are using it, does it remove everything or leave some lead in the barrel?
Thank you

I used one when I used to shoot a lot of .38 spl lead wadcutters. I used to swab the barrel with JB Bore Cleaner and let it set for a few hours and then use the Lewis Lead remover. After that just used some Hoppes and a standard bronze barrel brush and the bore looked shiny new.

I would follow the LLR with a brass bore brush for final cleaning.
The LLR is great for removing heavy leading, but I do believe the bore brush is still needed for that final cleaning down in the edges of the rifling.

Greetings,
The bronze brush or tornado brush does not remove the lead near the edges of the rifling. I have to use a brass rod that I made the end sharp and scrape it out.
Thank you

With the Lewis Lead Remover, it's important to have enough tension on the rubber grommet and a new brass screen for especially heavy leading. It's the combination of tension and the scrubbing action of the screen that physically removes the built up lead. I also use the "push/pull" method for heavy leading. I pull the tool almost all the way to the muzzle and then push it back the other way, attacking the lead from both directions.
Hope this helps.

I don't know how true this is but I have read that some guys use brass kitchen pot scrubbers to "scrape" the lead out.

Or use bullets properly fitted to your weapon. No need to use tools to clean your gun. All my lead loads clean with one or two passes of a Boresnake.

I bought some "copper" scrubbers with just this in mind; got them home, did the magnet thing on them, and they're steel w/ a coating of copper.
I need to find some real choreboy scrubbers.
