Hey y'all,

Trying to ascertain a value range for a Remington 760 30'06 I recently picked up. The only thing that gives me pause is that I saw one recently posted on another site that was produced after mine for something like 5x what I paid, so I figured I'd better do a little research.

I was able to figure the production year as the first of the 760's (1952), and it has a 5-digit ser# which I'm guessing were sequential for the first year. Probably puts mine in the first 40k made.

Very good condition, stock is not without some scratches, but still a very accurate shooter to boot.

Any info you may have would be great. Thanks!

Hello friends and neighbors // In S.C. I bought a 1968, 760 w/o scope in 90% condition for $250. // In Pa. the same rifle was $450 to $500 ./// On GB most are $485.

Really depends on condition and location.

Condition is very good, but I'm thinking the VERY low serial # for a famous model that ran for 28 years with over 1 million produced would add to whatever its utility/condition value is. This one is 1st year production (1952), ser# under 40000.

Anyone know their Remingtons or know someone that does?

Thanks!
