I sent an email to the Bersa Importer asking when the Mini-Thunder in 9mm will be available. He advised they are due in before the end of the year...So any of you that are interested may want to keep an eye out for them..and I asked when the Thunder 380 in nickel will be in and he said they are expected the end of this week, yeee haaaa :D :D

The Bersa Mini Thunder 9mm has been out for a while, same as the 40.
The 45 is the latest release and has been out for 3-4 months...so Im either confused or what?
What model are you referring too?.................

Didn't they stop importing the Thunder and mini Thunders at some point? Maybe they're going to resume importation?

Bersa stopped importing the "thunder" after the ban in 94. They were one of the ONLY companies that wouldnt neuter their guns to get them around the law...so they just stopped.
The mini thunder version has been imported for a couple of years and the market has plenty of them around. Ive seen these guns around here, on the net and in dist. catalogs. There isnt a shortage of them. Thus the question..is this the right gun?

Ah..I was mistaken. I truthfully don't think I've ever seen a mini Thunder, guess I'll have to look a bit harder.

I think the Firestorm Mini series are made by Bersa - probably virtually identical to the Mini Thunder. The same applies to the Firestorm and Bersa .380s - only minor cosmetic differences. I believe Firestorm was created a couple of years ago as some sort of joint venture between Bersa and Llama to import and market their pistols in the U.S. Bersa continued to import the .380s under their own name as well, and may now do the same thing with the Mini-series (9mm, .40, & .45). I have a Firestorm Mini-40 and its a decent gun.

Safety...hey no biggie. The Bersa/Firestorm guns are not well known in ALOT of area's of the country. In the more populated area's..youll find them quite often.

Heres a couple of links in regards to the guns you are looking at....
