Started with Smith's then a Colt Detective Special, then the Agent, and finally finished mod'ing this unfired 1976 Colt Cobra.

light weight, 6 shots, bobbed hammer, Gary Dean trigger job, Jim Badger grips

This is it, a keeper, boys and girls. Finally got it right!

Got to give a shout out to "Texas Colt" who guided me onto this path and did the hammer jobs.

VERY pretty gun! I pack an older Cobra with hammer shroud, with slimmed & altered Herrett's grips. I should get ALMOST the same results...a fine packing pistol.

Yep, you got it right there. Congrats on finding what I consider to be my Holy Grail gun; I've been looking for EXACTLY that gun for quite some time, even bought an extra set of Spegel grips for when I find it. For now, I'll make due with my DS primary and LCR backup...

My apology for not taking pictures of the bobbed hammer before having it reinstalled.

The work on it is just beautiful.
