Ruger Vaquero -- what's the difference?

I've taken a liking to the single shooting Bisley Vaquero and stainless Vaquero in the .357 with the imitation Ivory grips. Aside from the barrel length -- what's the difference between the guns? How are these models as far as changing the cylinder and cleaning. Tough or a snap? Thanks. :)

I think that the only major difference between the two models is the grip. The Bisley grip turns down more.
I have a Ruger Vacquero in .44 Magnum and it is a cinch to clean. Push out one pin (I forget the nomenclature), pull out the ejector rod and the cylinder comes out easily. I like mine and hope to get a second some day.
BTW, my Sistema should be here next....I am sooooooo excited!

Push out one pin (I forget the nomenclature), pull out the ejector rod and the cylinder comes out easily.
Push in the base pin latch, pull out the base pin, open the loading gate, and roll the cylinder out. Slick as a whistle. In re-installing cylinder, wiggle the cylinder as you put the base pin back in to help re-alignment.

The difference is in the grips. The original Colt Bisley model grip was designed so the shooter would have more of a straight grip and more of a straight back pull on the trigger than with the standard Colt Single Action grip. These changes were intended to appeal to target shooters, and the Bisley model (named after the famous English range) had target sights and a more curved trigger with a specially tuned trigger pull.

The Bisley Vaquero also has a different hammer and trigger from the standard Vaquero.
Note the differences in the standard Vaquero (left) and the Bisley Vaquero (right):

3 differences:
Bisley has a longer and steep angled grip. Standard Vaquero has a shorter and less steep grip.
Bisley hammer is is down to make thumb cocking hammer easier. Standard Vaquero has upward tilting hammer to allow for fanning (which of course is a no-no with a Ruger, but thats a different topic).
Bisley trigger is more curved.
My personal preferences?
The Bisley grip to me feels more natural, as does the easier to reach Bisley hammer and curved Bisley trigger. Both are fine guns though, give both a try.

The Ruger Bisley grip is very comfortable with hard kicking loads. I've shot some Corbon +P 265 gr loads in mine and it was nice to shoot:D
I don't care for the standard Ruger SA grip - the Colt is better. Colt Bisleys I can't recall ever handling.

Keep me posted about the Sistema...can't wait to hear how it handles. :D
Thanks for the feedback. I can't keep my eyes off these guns. I'm currently looking for better work so I can pay off my bills, save money, and have some left over for my next purchase(s). Getting paid every three weeks now...

Remove the stock Ruger grips and replace them with Eagle Gunfighters and you'll be amazed. If you want your Rugers to feel more like Colts, this is the ticket.

The Ruger Bisley isn't all that much like the Colt Bisley. Ruger appears to have copied a custom gun that Elmer Keith had a hand in circa 1930ish called the "Number 5". Although Ruger's is bigger.
The Ruger Bisley grip does indeed have a rep for being able to handle monster recoil better than other types.

The Bisley options really make a gun more shootable with heavy loads. I liked them so much on my Bisley Vaquero, I added them to my Blackhawk convertable.
