Picked her up on an auction site a couple of weeks ago. I love these old battle horses!

Nice find Ski!!

I won an A3 on AA recently. I should get it on Wednesday! If it's half as nice as yours I'll be really happy.

How does she shoot?

She's a safe queen. She is un-issued and un-fired as far as I can tell. I have two others that shoot wonderfully! One on my FAVORITE Mil-Surps!

Congratulations! That is nice! I have a model 1903 (from 1918) that is near-as-pretty. I missed out of the CMP 1903-A3s. :o There's always tomorrow.

Not knocking your rifle but its more than likely a fresh reasenal.
Heres mine, looks new right? Nope just a rearsenal. This is the day I brought her home. Hadnt even wiped of the dust or wiped down the stock yet

How many cartouches are on the stock? M1 Garands usually have one on the left side of the stock and near the action and other, a P near the bottom of the pistol grip area. I'm not real familiar with 03A3's but I would imagine that since they're from the same era that they might have similar cartouches. If there are any other cartouches on the stock, or if it doesn't have any visible then it would be my guess that the rifle has been re-finished at an arsenal at some point. Anyway let us know, and post pics of the other side of the stock if you can.
