A coworker at work said the Steyr pistols are not imported anymore? Is this true?

which is a good thing, since the supply of steyrs already here is at a remarkably lower price than if they were being imported.
gunbroker has several listings for prices at almost half what the MSRP is.

Why are Steyr pistols not imported into the USA anymore? Are they still manufacturered/imported to other countries?

What about Diamond Trail Shooter's Supply? I thought they where importing them ... same thing with G Zanders Sporting Goods.

Zanders is the actuall importer
But I don't think they are importing right now.

I haven't even seen a Steyr in CA in a couple of years.

cdnn has them for $299(m40)-$369 for 357 sig versions.

Just took delivery of an S40 from CDNN today in fact. NIB for $339. Import mark was GZI. CDNN said that GZ is ramping up on importation, but not under way yet.
