I shoved my Karambit in my waistband at the 11:00 position and got made twice over the last month. The guys who spotted it are keen on knives--one carries a Benchmade and the other a Commander. "You got this from Tarani, didn't you?" he asked with a grin.

I didn't like the knife in my waistband because it was slow to deploy, got uncomfortable and didn't feel the need for a second circumcision. Putting it back in my pocket got looks from folks who weren't very knife saavy. "Why do you carry a knife in your back pocket," a lady asked? I told her because if I put it in my front pocket it'll scratch my cell phone  and that it was still, for now, a free country. I had to explain to her (she thought it was over 3") that folding knives can be concealed legally and in any size. I guess black knives look bigger to people even if they are a mere 3.5" long.

Last year I ordered a pair of Royal Robbins Redwood pants for work. I ripped them up at the knee because I spend so much time on the ground and RR kindly replaced them with this year's pant. The pant has a zippered right pocket. Not like your pair of jeans with the pocket up high, the zipper is concealed about an inch below where the pocket starts. I clip my Karambit onto that and can still deploy it with speed but keep the knife out of view. I'm much happier now. The knife clip may eventually wear out the zipper but it's not like I ever use it for anything other can clipping my knife. BTW the pants are made from the same fabric as the 5.11 tacticals but looks a whole lot more untactical, which is a good thing for us desk jockies.

I highly recommend this pant for business casual dress and for folks who carry clippy knives on their right side. The caveat is it may not deploy Emerson conventional knives like the Commander because of interference with the zipper. I'll post pictures of it when I get home from work.
