Picked this up on my last trip to Crested Butte. Local maker and I did a little horse trading for it. High carbon steel blade was a logging saw at one time. Glass bead work by his wife, little rawhide and muledeer antler make the grip. Love that rough-out leather sheath and it's sharp enough to cut a steak, so I'm sure it can cut patches for my .54 Hawken.
I'd love to see your patch knives too!

Dr. Rob,
I made this from odds and end in the shop. (Ugly but functional) Keep it in my tackle box. I suppose it could be a patch knife.
I use and old straight razor blade wedged and glued to a hunk of stag horn. UGLY but works quite well.

Dr. Rob,
Nice looking piece of work. The blade looks to have come from another knife and put to use in this role (like what bikerdoc did), is that correct? Good reuse of materials and pretty decoration.
