Assuming Gold Dots, would 115gr +P+ at 1300 fps be preferable to 124gr +P at 1200 fps? I'm wondering if the +P+ gets burned quicker in the short barrel of the P9. They both seem about the same to me in terms of recoil and accuracy.

Try them out. The peak pressure rating doesn't really mean much in terms of performance. Some standard loads will out perform +P and +P+ loads.

If you're looking at manufacturer's tables, bear in mind that they usually test with longer barrels than your P9's, and that makes a world of difference.

According to what I have read, the Kahr pistols were designed for 115gr +P+ ammunition. Not being one to argue with one's (gun) maker, that is the bullet weight I use!!

I must have read the same article denfoote cites -- it said the Kahr was designed for the 115-gr bullet.
