Does anyone offer a kit or adapters to use a normal shotgun as a BP muzzleloader?

Thanks

Dan

Rossi also offers and interchangable gun system , three barrel package even if you want it , one being a muzzle loader barrel .
Don't think anyone makes what your thinking of, but you never know, someone may come up with it here ?

I've always wondered why no one makes a brass cartridge-equivalent that includes an appropriately-sized nipple. It would be just long enough for obturation, with the ball or base wad seating at or just within the mouth of the cartridge-equivalent.

Sure, it wouldn't meet the legal definition of a muzzle-loader. I'll bet that it would be easy to make, though, and lots of fun to shoot.

Just use an empty, primed Shell...

Many years ago there was a company that made adapters to insert in the chamber, The a.t.f. ruled them illegal due to the fact that they could be easily removed and the gun be converted back to it's original configuration.

I worked with a gut who tried to buy one after the ruling, when he couldn't find one, he made up a breech plug and welded it in a barrel, drilled it for a shotgun primer and the rest is history.

By the way, he claimed that it worked fine.
