S30v with Bos heat treat and g10 handles for $45. Is there a better value than this knife if I require G10 handles and good blade steel? Almost seems to good to be true.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Andrew

Paul Bos heat treat is good stuff -- the right balance of hard and tough.

S30V is a good steel. Very good steel.

G10 is a good, robust, grippy handle material. (Can be rough on clothing.)

At any price under $50, this is a good value.

I have some of the current Buck offerings, and they're well made, well finished, and sharp as a harpy's tongue. Further, I know from personal experience that they completely stand behind their product.

Yeah, I'd go for that.

Get one for me while you're at it.

For what it's worth, www.cutleryshoppe.com has them for $39.75.
