Let me throw this out there and get some opinions...
It's one thing to hammer and "put someone in their place" that has a different opinion of a certain gun or its maker, but recently I saw a reference to the President as not only being "a turd", but he "looks like a turd."
Come on. There's no denying the meaning of that statement. That's giving the antis and the lefties all the ammo they need against us. And if no one calls the poster on that statement, does that mean we're all in agreement?
I am not an Obama fan, in the slightest, but I also don't want to be associated with the mentality that exists in that post.
Was someone asleep at the switch on that post?
And if you're (not your) not happy with my post...oh well.

You should alert the mods when you see a post such as that.

Use the http://thehighroad.org/images/buttons/report.gif hotline to do so.

That sort of stuff is uncalled for at a minimum. I don't like Obama one bit, not anything he has done or plans to do, but there's no place for racial insults in a modern world and it shouldn't be tolerated....at the risk of being political, but I'm just expressing opinion on this behavior, not politics. I can disagree with anyone without throwing personal insults let alone racial ones.

JMHO, but this is way out of High Road behavior IMHO.

I couldn't agree more. I may not like the 'man' but I respect the 'office'

Thanks for posting this pohill. There is no room for this behavior on THR, imho.

Uhh... pohill... if you took my reference to him as such, then you read that into it all on your own. I would freely bestow that term to the Speaker of the House... and, last I checked, she was nowhere near being of the same racial flavor. If that's a racial slang where you live, I am not aware of it being used as such and could understand how/why you would interpret my reference in that manner. They both still stink and are beyond being useful and are fit for discard. That's the limit of my intentions for the term and I stand by that. That being said, if defining him (and his ilk) with that term is offensive to you, I'll do my best to refrain from using that term... and offer my apology to you. I am not a racist.... but, I am not a blind sheep either.

As for reference to that describing his appearance... I will not even attempt to explain someone else's comment to mine.

The correct course of action is contained in post #2. Political discussions, references, and gratuitous political throw-away commentary are all forbidden on THR and will not be tolerated.

The mods can't be everywhere, so we rely upon folk to report nonTHR behavior to us when it happens.
