Howdy gang. I've been a reader of this forum and THR forum for quite a few years now. I dont post much because IMHO I'm a lousy poster. I do however, share the love and compassion for my revolvers that ya'll have for your's. My collection is quite small compared to some of the ones I've seen on here, but the 8 revolvers i do have are kept spotless and polished, stripped down to the last possible part, cleaned and oiled after each shooting session. All that I have come to know and learn about these revolvers is about probablly 60% learned from you guys here on the forums, and 40% learned from just doing. That includes taking apart my revolvers and looking under a magnifying glass at each of the separate parts, looking for burrs, roughness, etc. I havnt yet quite got the full scope of using the digital calipers I purchased a while back, but im learning as i go. My favorite revolver is my 1851 Navy in .44 cal. Its not a brasser, but a steel framed one with silver plating on the backstrap and TG. I know its not "histerically correct" as jager would say, but I've got to the point where I can achieve 1.5 - 2" groups at 25 yds all day long with it. It just feels right in my hands and although it shoots aboout 8 inches high, I refuse to file down any sight, front or back, because Ive learned where to point it to get my desired results every time. I am blessed in having a built in range at my place of employment, which is 15 minutes away, and allways available to me anytime, day or night. But anyways, I just want you guys to know that in my book all of ya's are top notch dudes, allways willling to help out a newbie with questions, and share your knowledge with them.....
I respect that alot! I'm sorrry to hear about Aussie and his condition, and am also sorry to hear about Smokin guns plight. I have you two in my prayers, and am cofident that all will work out. anyways, I'll quit ramblin now, but just want you guys to know theres some of us out here, that although we may not allways participate, and post.... We still enjoy (at least I do) all the knowledge and information that is picked up in here. Happy and safe shootin!

Umm , your posting skills are elequant and to the point and ramble on just fine by the way . Just don't stop participation though , there are not allot of posters , lots of lookers though , but your breaking your Mold of non-posting to share , and that's what forums are alla bout . I am sure we too can learn from you and your experiences in life and with revolvers and bp in general .
Keep it up and bring some friends too !

Nice looking little Pacific you have there. Did you build it or did you buy it from someone else? I love steam locomtives, all the way from tiny to life size. We have SPS 700, SP 4449 & OR&N 197 where I live in Portland, Oregon. I have been down to the roundhouse to see all three on a private tour. Let me see, guns and steam locomotives are some of the nations earliest industrial products. Seems like they go hand in hand.

Hey there Fingers...I'm a bit further North, up in Smithville, But am allways pretty much down around the lake area...We have 10 acres down between Stover and Cole Camp, my old man has a place on the 71 mm. The last time I was in FT. Wood.....I was learnin about and learnin to appreciate the M-16, along with havin a blast on night manuvers!! Allways glad to see another Missourian enjoyin our sport!

I shoot CAS with Southern Missouri Rangers in Springfield as well as Moniteau Creek River Raiders in Fayette. Closest CAS club to you would be in Higginsville; but I'm not sure if there are any/many C&B shooters there. Ya ever get down this way, stop by & we'll burn some powder.

was built by my late father. it runs on 125lbs steam. & can pull 40 big fat old men like me.

with over 13 miles of main line track. its called TRAIN MOUNTAIN & is located in Chiloquin between Klamath falls & Crater lake national forest. its unbelievable. plenty of U-tube vid

Those tanks are visible fakes, and are used to hold the gold. I'm not fooled for one second.

The Paul Bunyan sized engineer is obviously the greater threat. I suspect he is greatly distracted by the mommies, however. Thereby making an assault on the strong boxes near the bend in the tracks by the cotton candy stand a viable strategy. Or maybe by the t-shirt tent, or possibly near the weird guy's tent with the goofy clown puppets. There's one of those at EVERY festival!
