Here is the mother of all cowboy genre movies. The Great Train Robbery is a classic that I've never seen until today. See it free at this Link (http://www.moviesfoundonline.com/great_train_robbery.php)

I didn't expect to see a double action revolver even though they were around during the Civil War era and later by Colt in 1877.

If you notice they use Remington percussion models in some of the scenes.

How can anyone tell who was using what in the movie since it's so blurry and the camera is so far away??
Certainly at the end the cowboy is using a dbl-action but I wouldn't count that as being "in" the movie. Double actions were around for quite some time..I have an H&R "American Dbl Action" revolver in .32 S&W Long...they were made from the late 1800's until the 1940's.
