I have a old Hopkins & Allen single shot break open target pistol. It shoots
.22 LR. Has a 10 inch barrel and is nickle plated. Serial 864. Has Norwich USA
address on top of barrel. Walnut grips, bore is perfect. Any info on what it
might be worth. Rear sight is adjustable. Thanks

I haven't a clue because I have never seen the like. Plenty of S&W single shots and the occasional H&R, but never a H&A. Neat. Blue Book says 98%=$495

WOW! VERY NICE little gun you've got there, kwhi43@kc.rr.com. Haven't had a chance to research it, but I can tell from the outset I'd surely love to add that baby to my collection...

I collect .22rf single-shot, older and odder the better, made in the U.S. or Canada, firearms. Here's a photo of the ONLY Hopkins & Allen in my collection. This is the No. 822 with "full-loop" lever - like our Western-style big-bores.

Made between 1907 and 1917. Should be safe with modern standard velocity ammo ( The only H&A that can be so considered ). That one is one of the cleanest and best condition H&A target guns I've ever seen.:)

All my instincts tell me the BB is low on that one!
