The Marshal is a particular favorite of mine as well. I worked for Cabela's for several years selling black powder firearms and archery equipment. One of my favorite pistolas we sold was the Navy Marshal .44. Nice and compact. A solid gun. I never bought one because at the time Wife and I were saving for our house and pennies were scarce. Now it is on "The List" along with several others. Good luck in your quest MCGunner.

I'm more of a Remington fan.
At 5.5", there's only 3/4" difference in length for $239.
IF they made that Sherrif in .36 too , wow that would be neet . :D

Pietta did make the Marshall model in .36. They aren't listed by any of the importers right now; but they show up on the secondary market from time to time. I have one - looking for another to pair it up.

MCgunner, buy the one you want. It is a nice piece. I had my Brass frame go bad too, and will not go there again.I now shoot the 45 Army and have fired thousands of rounds through it and it is still a solid piece. Frankly, I do not think that revolver is too pricey.

Yeah, I'm going to pass on the brasser and look later. Just saw the price and thought about it. Might not be as much stress on that thing in .36 caliber, but, well, I've also had the Remington hots before, LOL! A stainless one would be nice.

MCgunner Cabela's has one heck of a deal on Pietta NMAs right now. Thought you might like to know.
I try to buy the ones I like when they are on sale.
I've never bought a used on on the auction sites. Seems risky :scrutiny:
I thought buying mail order was risky enough, but I've never gotten a bad one.
