I recently picked up a NIB Ruger LCR but it rattles. Does it need to be sent back ro Ruger? Sounds like there is something loose in it.

Transfer bar. Perfectly (?) normal for Rugers. SP101s do it too.

It is perfectly normal. It is just more noticeable in the LCR due to its polymer construction.

If you want to prove that the sound is caused by the transfer bar, (remove bullets) squeeze and hold the trigger then shake the LCR. The rattle will disappear.
