I thought I should post some images of Finnish knives...and some flames.

This is basically a Tommi-puukko, except for the sheath which is a bit different (color/ornaments) from the traditional model. Tommi-puukko is meant to be a "universal tool" for every day chores in the wilderness. This particular knife was made by a friend of mine.

A Leuku-knife made by the same blade smith. The blade is about 7 inches long. Traditionally used by the Sami-people who live in northern part of our country. The reindeer horn decorated wooden cup was made by the Sami artisans. The photographer, who is also a friend of mine, bought it on our latest trip to Lapland.

Some close-ups of carbon steel damascus blades...

And some silver being melted and later cast to produce bolsters for a knife.
