Your experience with these, especially any who have compared them directly,is appreciated.Any other candidates (Redfield etc) are also welcome.I would be especially interested in COMPACT models.
Thanks

I've got a Leupold VXII that I couldn't be happier with. Excellent scope.

I'm not sure that I'd like the Rifleman series scope. NRA's American Rifleman just recently did a review of the Leupold Rifleman. It was reported that as a cost cutting measure they removed the "clicks" in the adjustment of the scope. Instead a spring maintains tension. You just turn it, but without any clicks to indicate how far you've gone.

That would definitely drive me nutty! :D

Good Shooting

Leaupold traditionally had the friction adjustments. Some still do. I like leupolds a LOT. Good place to put your money.

Premier Reticles can put clicks in leaupold scopes and do a lot of other stuff oo. Check them out. They have good prices on scopes.

Oh yeah. I believe the rifleman line is actually the classic Vari-X line, still around after the VX line came in with thier fancy click adjustments.
