Found this picture whilst surfing around and thought I'd share. Pretty impressive!

Let's see some muzzle blast or muzzle flash pictures!

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/2e/Uss_iowa_bb-61_pr.jpg/250px-Uss_iowa_bb-61_pr.jpg

And the only one of my own I have for now:

http://i625.photobucket.com/albums/tt332/halfdedsphoto/015-Copy.jpg

No it's not edited; the camera was set for a long exposure with a flash to light up the gun, that's why the hammer's still back.

Every time a 'muzzle blast' topic comes up, the Mosin is always included.

i do not have any photos, but my son tells me my https://www.magnumresearch.com/images/bfr_homepix.jpg .499LWR revolver shoots a flame about three feet in front of the muzzle in daytime and the cylinder/barrel gap has about an 18" flash.., i wonder what it would be like in total darkness.

oooooh !! BTW we all know that BFR really means something different.., like.., "Big F***ing Revolver" ;)

I wonder how much of a disadvantage the Mosin-NAgant's muzzle flash was in combat. It sure gave the Germans a nice target.

How do you like that Beretta PX4?
I love mine personally, and if Wisconsin ever gets some CCW law passed, I'm planning on using that for my carry piece.

rightfully so I would think :D The 2 m44's I have display some of the brightest muzzle flashes I have ever seen with the bulk ammo i bought.

NMGonzo, I think you have confused muzzle blast with tannerite being blasted with a rifle.

I will never get tired of M60's photos. Especially of that SBR .308. It's just downright cartoony. :)

Speaking of cartoony:

Ain't got no pics, but...

We were floating around in the Indian Ocean just outside the Arabian Gulf on the night of July Fourth, 1994. Every ship in the battle group was trying to "one up" each other, from tracers and small rockets to the five inch guns.

Unbeknownst to anyone but the captains (and probably an admiral or two) an honest to goodness Battleship (NOT a destroyer or cruiser) was blacked out and sneaking up on our fantails.

The sky turned this hellish red, much brighter than a sunset and it flashed like a camera strobe. The sound was deafening. I was standing on the flight deck and felt concussion, even as far away as the battleship was.

These aren't guns. They're flamethrowers. And I thought blackpowder guns had a monopoly on big balls o' fire.

Those guns get you two for the price of one. Not only can you shoot your dinner with them, you can then start the campfire to cook it....

I think PTK pays people to start "muzzle flash" threads so he can show that SBR Nagant off. It seems to find its way into every one. :D

That's sort of the entire point of paying $200 in tax on a $60 gun. :D

its not an sbr. Its a pistol. It has to have a stock to be a rifle. All it has left is a grip. Don't need a tax stamp for a pistol.

Wrong, you can make a pistol into a rifle, but you can't make a rifle into a pistol. Once a rifle, always a rifle. I suppose that logic is that it's okay to have a big pistol-now-rifle that fires a pistol round, but not okay to have a rifle-now-pistol that shoots a big rifle round. I would think that if you made that same design off of a new unused receiver you could say that it was a pistol receiver, and thus a pistol. Maybe.

You are Uncle Sam's financier. They don't simply wish themselves a budget out of thin air, it is paid for with many days of your labor per year.

Forget the saftey glasses, what you realy need are sunglasses or a welder's mask. Double m1919s are cool, the Super-SBR, belt-belt atempt at a 7.62 mmMP5K is just stupid. and is that a rail on top of that cannon!?!? In pic#2, anyone notice how the M1919s are right next to an MG42?
